The University of Tartu Centre for Ethics had previously created a physical version of the game, and we helped turn it into a digital one. The physical game came in a hefty box, which sparked the idea—why not make it playable on smart devices instead?
What’s the game about? It consists of cards featuring everyday dilemmas and possible decision options. For instance: What would you do if your best friend’s birthday and your grandmother’s milestone celebration were happening at the same time? Players make personal choices, but the goal is also to reach a group consensus through discussion, reasoning, and embracing differing views. That’s where the game builds team spirit—it’s even used in team-building workshops.
The transition to digital went smoothly. The visual style was adapted from the physical version. One key difference is the addition of a game master in the online version—someone who sets up the game and handles group decisions, like moving on to the next round. The user experience is designed to be very simple and accessible, even for older users or those with minimal tech skills.
