The entrepreneurship and career education programme Edu ja Tegu, led by the Estonian Education and Youth Board, aims to make entrepreneurship and career education a key part of every level of education. The game Entrepreneurship Adventure is one of the many initiatives within the programme and is primarily designed to be played during school lessons.
Our task was to design and develop the game’s user interface. The game concept, rules, and specific tasks were provided by other partners involved in the project.
The game’s visual style is modern, vibrant, and full of energy. A lively, youth-oriented feel is created through the use of bold colors and an illustration style that combines photos with freehand doodles.
The game works by giving players various tasks, which are then evaluated by their fellow players. Based on the overall score they receive, players move forward on the game board.
Any user can start a new game by selecting topics and inviting others to join. Players—regular users—have personal accounts where they can view their game statistics and continue games in progress. The game creator also acts as the game host, managing gameplay elements such as confirming choices and controlling the timer. The system administrator has access to all game statistics and can modify, add, or delete tasks, as well as manage the instructions and other content pages.
All of this was developed using the Vue JavaScript framework.
