Project

MUBA

A new school, a new building – and a new website for the Tallinn College of Music and Ballet, designed by Redwall.

At MUBA, the Tallinn College of Music and Ballet, students can follow primary, secondary, and vocational study programmes. The school has a new, state-of-the-art building—one of the most modern among music schools in Europe. The website, too, needed to reflect the ambition and substance of this new institution.

Based on the school’s visual identity and the client’s wish for a solid, minimalist web presence, we created a website that speaks to prospective students and their parents, current students and teachers, as well as the wider cultural community.

In addition to presenting information about the school, the website also plays a key role in reflecting the day-to-day life of the school. On one hand, it includes content related to academic activities aimed at students and staff, and on the other, it features news and events—such as concerts, performances, and trainings—geared toward the wider public.

To keep the site from feeling too formal, a few creative touches were planned for the design. Admittedly, many of these haven’t yet been made public—as the new school is just beginning its first academic year, and the staff understandably has more pressing matters than fine-tuning the website 🙂 Still, you can already spot small animations here and there that add a subtle playful element.
